My child, why did you have to die
And leave me without you?
You were a special part of me,
A mother’s dream come true!
Each day I think of you with love,
Treasuring each memory,
Remembering your precious face
And the joy you brought to me.
Comfort comes when I think about
You growing up in God’s light,
Surrounded by the angels’ songs
In a place so lovely and bright.
Someday we’ll be together once more
